In January 2015, Nealy will be 2 years old. She was born on site along with 9 brothers and sisters in January 2013. Sadly when Nealy was just 8 months old, she was returned to us. She was a very nervous, worried little girl, who over the last 16 months has come on leaps and bounds.
Nealy is a sweet and super affectionate girl once she knows you, but there are still things in life that worry her. Nealy can be worried by new people and needs slow and careful introductions. She can also be worried by new objects that maybe were not present previously – but with a little bit of reassurance she soon comes round.
Nealy is looking for an experienced home that will help continue her socialisation. Nealy will need calm and caring owners who will not force her into situations she may find difficult to cope with and will continue to use positive reinforcement training methods. Nealy is a very bright girl and once bonded with you she is so eager to please. She already knows some basic commands and walks beautifully on the lead. Nealy enjoys going out for walks with our dog walkers and playing off lead in our enclosed areas. Nealy will entertain herself for hours with a toy.
Nealy has a wonderful bond with the staff and with her regular walkers. It can take a little time for Nealy to trust you, but once she does she is full of love and affection and loves nothing more than having cuddles and trying to squash herself onto your lap.
Nealy has a crate set up in her kennel and she loves to make herself comfortable in there, often taking her favourite toys to bed with her. It is important that new owners continue to use a crate in the home for Nealy as she sees it as a safe place to retreat too. The crate should be set up in a quiet area of the home.
In time and with the correct training and socialisation, Nealy will make someone a truly wonderful, loving and fun companion. She loves playing and interacting with the people she trusts. All she needs is someone that will see past the worried girl they will initially meet, someone who will spend a lot of time with her and someone who will love her and give her the home she so truly deserves.
Please consider sponsoring Nealy whilst she is here under-going a training programme to improve her chances of finding a forever home.
