Ruby is an inquisitive young lady that is looking for a new home that can continue with her training. She was sadly returned to us after spending two months in a home. Ruby was living with another dog, but was starting to pick up the other dogs bad habits and the owner, sadly couldn’t cope.
Ruby has tested well with other dogs both times she has stayed with us and is currently kennelled with another sighthound. Ruby enjoys the company of other dogs and would benefit from living with a confident sighthound (or dog of a similar size) that will interact and play with her.
Ruby initally struggled when she was left and would chew personal items and skirting boards. This improved over the two month period she was in the home and by the end her destructive behaviour stopped – this is something she may do in the settling in period when she goes to a new home.
She is a very active girl and will require a good sized, fully enclosed garden that she can run around in as her recall training needs some work – Ruby loves her zoomies. This will be vital to Ruby, so she can burn off excess energy.
In a home with people who have owned a dog previously (or currently own a dog) and have an understanding of Sighthounds, Ruby will make a wonderful companion. All she needs is a little time and understanding.
Can you offer this lovely girl a loving and permanent new home?
