This handsome young boy is Skip. He is fun, intelligent and loves to be on the go.
He first arrived at SDR in February of this year. It came apparent quite quickly that Skip wasn’t coping well in the kennel environment, so he was placed into one of our dedicated foster homes.
Skip is looking for owners who have owned dogs previously and have experience with reactive Terriers.
Skip is very switched on and it’s important that new owners are able to provide mental stimulation through training, activities, games and enriching walks.
Skip, sadly was attacked by another dog before arriving in our care, so he can be a little unsure on other dogs and will react to them if they are too close to him. Skip’s foster carer has been working hard with Skip and his reactivity around other dogs and has been putting a lot of time into his rehabilitation. Skip would benefit from attending training classes and continuing with his reactive walks which are organised and run by the behaviourist who has been working with Skip and his foster carer.
Skip will need to live in a home with a good sized garden that can provide calm, enrichment for him as well as provide extra playtime. He will not be able to go off the lead on walks for quite some time, so a garden is a must for Skip.
In the right home, this cheeky young boy will make a great addition.
Skip is currently in foster so please call to discuss further and arrange a meeting
Can you offer this lovely boy a loving and permanent new home?
