Smeagol and Gozer arrived in the care of SDR together through no fault of their own. They came into us from the same home and it would be lovely if this dynamic duo could go home together again.
They have both tested well with other dogs, although Smeagol tends to ignore whilst Gozer instigates play.
If they were to live with another dog(s) we would need to carry out a controlled dog mix to ensure all the dogs where happy with each other. Owners would also need to be experienced in integrating two bonded dogs into a home with any other dogs.
They are active dogs and enjoy going for walks although Smeagol will only be able to go offlead in fully enclosed areas. They would need to have access to a reasonable sized garden as it would be advisable for new owners to spend time training a solid and reliable recall.
They would benefit from some further training as the only command they appear to know is ‘sit’.
They are both very intelligent dogs and are eager to please their handler, especially if you have a tasty treat to offer them.
They will enjoy being kept mentally stimulated through training and interactive games with their owners and may enjoy extra classes such as scent work or agility.
In the right home, these boys will make a wonderful and fun addition
