We are looking for a volunteer co-ordinator for our street collections of which there are about 6 a year.
The responsibilities of the post involve contacting the local authorities to obtain permission and dates and contact volunteers (a list of contacts will be provided). The volunteers are normally happy to do 1-2 hours at a time.
Collection day hours are normally 9 – 5 and you will need to be there at the start of the day to set people up at 2 – 3 locations in the town.
At the end of the day all tins would need to be dropped off at the main collection point ready for the Co-ordinator to take them home, count the monies and advise the volunteers of the totals made. The monies would then need to be taken to the kennels for banking.
