Bella has settled in well since her arrival here at the rescue and has become accustomed to the daily routines.
She loves to play outside and explore her new surroundings and will tend to sniff and search any new area with great interest. Bella likes to play with her toys, especially a tennis ball and will chase after it when its thrown but will often then just walk around with it, as she has not yet learned to bring the ball back for the game to continue.
Bella does know some basic commands such as sit and paw but being young, we would recommend that she attends puppy training to increase her mental capacity and puppy socialisation classes to ensure she is more confident when meeting other dogs.
Bella does like to meet new people but she can be hand shy and uncertain at first until she gets to know you. Along with some positive reinforcement she will soon become more trusting of her new owners. We have found that treats are a good way to gain her trust and help to build a solid bond between owner and dog.
She has been mixed with various dogs here at the rescue and has shown to be unsure when intially meeting them, so we would recommend that she gets some positive experiences around calmer dogs to help build her confidence. Both dogs will need to be fed sperately as Bella has shown some resource guarding.
In the right home with someone who has had 2 -3 dogs before and will continue her training and soalicsation, she will make a lovely (if not larger than life) addition to the household.
Can you offer this lovely girl a loving and permanent new home?
