Pre Adoption Questionnaire - Puppy Process

Selection process:

The Head of Rescue and Re-homing with the support of a Dog Carer will assess each potential adopter on the information provided on the pre-adoption form

The three most suitable homes for Betsy will be identified and graded 1st 2nd and 3rd

The 1st applicant will be invited in to talk to a Dog Carer regarding Betsy

If the Dog Carer and applicant are happy, the process will proceed to them meeting and spending time with Betsy. If this is successful then the usual adoption process will apply

If for whatever reason the 1st application does not proceed, we will then move to the 2nd applicant and thereafter to the 3rd.

Applications will close on THURSDAY 13TH JUNE AT 4PM and the successful candidate will be contacted by FRIDAY 14TH JUNE AT 4PM – the successful candidate must be available to meet Betsy on Saturday 15th JUNE AT 2PM

Please note we will not contact unsuccessful candidates.

The adoption fee for Betsy is £200

More information about Betsy

Betsy is a 9 month old (approx.) Great Dane Mix.

Like all puppies she is incredibly active and is looking for a home that can provide her with lots of mental stimulation through interactive games and training.

She has a lot of energy to burn, but due to her age, she cannot be exercised for too long (45 mins at present) as it will risk damage to her growing joints – which is why it will be important to tire out her brain in order to help her settle.

She is very clever girl and will need to attend training classes to help her learn basic skills and develop into a well socialised girl.

Once she has received all the basic training, she could go onto do extra activities such as scent work or agility which would both make her use her very clever brain.

In a home with owners who are prepared to continue her training and socialisation, she will make a truly wonderful companion.
