Charlie is a lovely boy who arrived with us as stray from the local pound.

He seems to be settling in well and is always excited to see his carers, but does prefer to be out and about rather than in his kennel.

Charlie is looking for owners who have previously owned dogs before and will be able to give him all the training he requires. He currently doesn't appear to know any commands, however starting his training using positive reward based methods, will be a great way for new owners to build up a strong bond with Charlie. He will also require recall training before he is let off lead in open areas, as he doesn't respond to his name, and although he will return for a cuddle or treat, this is not always the case if he has found something more interesting.

When initially meeting other dogs, Charlie was calm and friendly, however with some other dogs he become reactive. As such we would recommend that Charlie does not live with another dog.

Charlie has shown a little nervousness when first meeting new people, although he is still friendly and will let them approach and give him some fuss. New owners will need to be aware of this when having visitors over and not force him into situations he may be uncomfortable with. Due to this slight nervousness we would also recommend he only live with children aged 11+, as younger ones may be a little too much for him.

In the right home with owners who will be patient and understanding, Charlie will make a wonderful addition to the family.

Can you offer this wonderful boy his forever home?
