This active and intelligent young boy is looking for a new home to join

Chase arrived in our care after his owners were unable to give him the attention he needs.  Chase is a smart and intelligent boy that has settled into kennels well and is now ready and waiting to find his forever home.

Chase enjoys playing with his toys and will quite happily entertain himself with them.  He will throw them around and then chase after them. He can become a little frustrated when playing with his handler if he isn’t getting enough attention and will occasionally jump up for some cuddles. Chase can be a true class clown when playing with his handlers. He will bounce around his kennel with them and will sometimes find himself under their legs if they try to leave before the fun is over.

Since being with us, Chase has shown to get very frustrated when he sees other dogs and can become quite vocal and anxious. In initial dog mixes he has shown to be very playful and boisterous when greeting other dogs and loves to play zoomies with them in our enclosed areas. However, Chase can sometimes get a little too over stimulated when playing and can be too much for other dogs. Chase would be best suited to a dog of similar size that won’t be too overwhelmed by Chase’s style of play.

Chase will require basic training.  The only command he knows at present is sit.  If owners want to allow Chase off the lead on walks, he will require recall training before being allowed off lead in open spaces.  Chase is motivated by treats, so owners can use high value treats coupled with positive reward based training.

In a home with people who have owned a dog previously and are prepared to put in some basic training, Chase will make a fun and active companion.

Can you offer this lovely boy a loving and permanent new home?
