Cherry arrived in our care via another rescue we work with who organise rescue spaces for unclaimed strays in the pound.
Since her arrival at SDR, Cherry has settled into kennels well and is always happy to see her carers. She has a good appetite when it comes to food and is also motivated by the use of high value treat rewards.
Cherry has had some previous training. She currently knows sit, paw and walks nicely on the lead. Stafford's are intelligent dogs and enjoy interacting and being kept mentally stimulated as well as well exercised. She would love to be taught further commands or tricks by her new owners. Not only will it provide her with the additional mental stimulation, but it will also deepen her bond with her new owner.
Cherry adores people and loves to receive as much fuss and attention from tham as possible. She can be a little demanding when it comes to attention and if she doesn’t feel she’s getting enough, she can occassionally jump up at you for more.
Cherry isn't overly keen on other dogs and prefers that they keep their distance. As long as she is left alone she will happily continue with her walk. If they are persistent or invade her space, she will tell them off. Therefore Cherry is looking for a home with no other dogs.
Cherry is looking for a home with a fully enclosed garden and with people who have owned a dog previously. In the right home, this sweet little girl will make a loving addition.
Can you offer this lovely girl a loving and permanent new home?
