Lola is a sweet girl who found herself in the care of SDR after we received a call from a local pound. Lola had been found straying, but sadly she was not claimed and was looking for a rescue space.
Lola has settled into kennels well and is always happy to see her handlers. She is a little on the shy side, although she is quickly becoming more confident every day.
Lola is currently on a diet as she is overweight. She will need owners who can help her continue to lose weight and live a more active life.
Lola will require some obedience training as she currently does not know any commands. This will also help to keep her brain stimulated and to wear off some of her excess energy. She is highly motivated by treats, so with time and reward based training she could learn very quickly.
Lola will also need a lot of work on her recall before she can be let off lead on walks or in open spaces.
Lola has shown to be friendly, sometimes a little overexcited towards other dogs. She seems to be interested in gentle play but if another dog is too boisterous for her she does not like it. Lola could live with another dog that is also friendly and plays gently, pending a few successful dog mixes to ensure they are compatible.
Lola would suit an owner/s who have had experience with Staffs before and can give her plenty of time. Lola will also need access to a decent sized garden for her to run around in to burn off some energy.
In the right home with owners who have the time to give this lovely girl, Lola will make a loving and affectionate companion.
Can you offer this lovely girl a loving and permanent new home?
