Royal is a really lovely, sweet and gentle boy who is looking for owners who have had previous experience of owning large breeds and who are willing to continue his training.

Royal has settled into kennel life and absolutely loves being in the company of his carers. He is such an affectionate boy who craves all the cuddles and fuss from everyone he meets.

Royal has had some previous training and does already know a few commands however he will require further work. New owners will need to do some lead training with him as he can pull a lot and is very strong, additionally he can get frustrated if he's not allowed to go where he wants to and will start to bark and try and bite the lead. He will also require further recall training before he is let off lead in open spaces. Continuing his training using positive reward based methods will be a great way for new owners to build up a bond with him.

When meeting other dogs, Royal doesn't appear to have many manners or know how to properly greet another dog. Instead he just gets very excited and will charge head first at them, although he did listen and move back when another dog snapped at him. Royal has previously lived with 2 dogs and although he got on well with one, there were some issues with the male. Due to this and his boisterous behaviour, we would recommend Royal be the only dog in the home until he has had some more training and socialisation.

When off lead in our enclosed areas, Royal does enjoy having a good explore and sniff around. He enjoys playing with toys and will happily play a game of fetch with nearly any toy that is thrown for him. When playing with people, in this way, he is actually quite gentle and will allow you to pick up the toy and throw it again.

In an active home with large breed experienced owners who are happy to give him the training he requires and all the fuss he wants, he will make a wonderful and loving addition.

Can you offer this lovely boy a loving and permanent new home?
