SDR Roadmap

The Stokenchurch Road Map will proceed as follows:

6th April - On this date dogs ready for adoption were placed on the website and Facebook. Sadly in line with government restrictions currently we are unable to open viewing kennels so we kindly request you do not come up to view. If you apply for a dog and are the successful candidate however, we will then invite you in for an appointment to meet the dog ahead of reserving it.

12th April – We will start meeting the successful candidates who made applications for the dogs advertised on the website from the 6th April, at this stage we will still have to conduct all meetings outside.

In line with government’s restrictions the viewing kennels at Stokenchurch Dog Rescue will remain closed to the general public. We are able to start rehoming again from the 12th of April following an application process which is detailed within each dog's profile on the website. If you have not been successful in this instance please keep coming back and checking our website to see which dogs are available may suit you. Currently there is a huge interest in rehoming but insufficient dogs to meet all applications so please don’t be disappointed if you are not successful first time.

12th April- Donated goods. We will start accepting all of those dog related donations you have been saving for us that we very much appreciate. Food (tins or sealed bags), towels, blankets, dogs beds, leads and harnesses to name a few items we always find useful. Unfortunately we can’t accept duvets, pillows or sleeping bags. As before we will have a drop box in the car park in front of the portacabin so that all donations can be dropped of whilst maintaining a safe social distance.

We aren’t quite ready to accept table top donations but we will be soon and will post to the website as soon as we can.

17th May - We will be able to open reception and start meeting people indoors again as long as we are following the rule of 6, however current restrictions viewing kennels will still remain closed at this time and we will continue to take applications if you were interested in adoption.

There will be posters in reception of all dogs available.

29th May -  We are planning to hold our first table top sale of the year - this is great news as fundraising has been incredibly difficult for us over the last year.

21st June – Viewing kennels to be opened if all restrictions have been removed.  This will be confirmed closer to the date.

All dates are provisional and subject to conditions being met as per the Government Website

Thank you for your continued support
