Introducing, Bailey a delightful dog who is currently on the lookout for a quiet adult-only home.

When meeting new people, we do find he is better meeting them outside of his home environment and prefers calmer greetings, initially outside he will just ignore the new person, but it doesn’t take him to long to be won over, usually with the help of a few treats or taking him on a good walk. Bailey does not cope overly well with unknown faces coming into the home, i.e. workers or postman this is where he would become reactive towards them. However, with saying this, once Bailey is your friend he turns into an affectionate playful boy and really enjoys human interaction.

Bailey has a lot of basic training and did go to classes with his previous owner. He is a dog who loves to be kept stimulated and enjoys the engagement with his human. He is going to need owners who can continue his training to help carry on improving and it is something we feel could one day be taken into an activity to provide him extra mental stimulation.

We have introduced Bailey to other dogs while being with us, and overall, he is very neutral to most dogs and prefers to engage with the handlers or keep to his own thing rather than interacting with the other dog. The only thing to take into consideration there are occasions where Bailey can react to larger dogs, the previous owners have said there has been a lot of improvement but sometimes it can still occur. We do feel Bailey is better suited to being the only pet in the home but could potentially have some walking friends.

Bailey will need a home where his owners are around most of the day as he does have separation anxiety and will become vocal if being left or shut in another room. The previous owner has said he would sometimes take himself off to another room if wanting some alone time, but doors would have to remain open.

Overall, Bailey is a lovely lad but is looking for a quieter home in a quieter environment. He has lived with kids before but does much prefer the company of adults so is looking for an adult only home with people who have had experienced owning dogs before and understand his needs.

The adoption fee for Bailey is £200
