TEXT TO DONATE.

We are delighted that you have chosen to send Stokenchurch Dog Rescue a text to donate to help with the charity’s work in rescuing and rehoming unwanted dogs. Thank you in advance, we truly appreciate your support.

Here are some guidelines and points to remember.

You can donate to Stokenchurch Dog Rescue by texting a keyword chosen from the list below to the relevant number - the shortcode.

Each message you send will result in a donation to Stokenchurch Dog Rescue of the amount listed in the ‘Donation Value’ column. For example, by texting Bark5 to 70085, you will donate £5.

The following are the keywords and shortcodes:-

Keyword

Shortcode

Donation Value

Bark3

70085

£3

Bark5

70085

£5

Bark10

70085

£10

Bark20

70085

£20

In addition to the donation value, the text will cost you the value of the donation plus one standard rate message (based on your service provider rates).

Each valid text you send will result in a charge of the donation value plus your standard network message charge regardless of when you receive your confirmation text. Any repeat texts will result in repeat donations.

You must obtain permission from the bill payer before sending a text message.

If you are under 16 years old, you must have your parent or guardian's permission to send a text donation to Stokenchurch Dog Rescue.

Please ensure you spell the keyword correctly and send your text message to the correct shortcode. Both the keyword and short code have to be entered into the mobile phone perfectly in order to make the donation work.

Maximum Donation:

You can donate a maximum of £20 per transaction and £30 per mobile number per day so, you could text a £20 donation and a £10 donation to bring the total up to £30 for that day but you would not be able to text another donation until the following day.

Please keep in mind that the above are limits imposed by Donr.

You may also have limits set up on your own account with your mobile network provider which may stop you from adding such amounts to your mobile bill per day, per week or per month.

If an attempted donation would take you over a limit you’ve agreed with your mobile network provider, the donation will fail and you will be invited to call the Donr helpline number for more information.

Confirmation:

If your keyword and short code are valid you will be charged the applicable donation value via Donr and receive a reply confirmation text message and your donation will then go to Stokenchurch Dog Rescue.

Please note it may take some time to receive the confirmation text message.

If your keyword and short code are incorrect or invalid you may not receive a confirmation text message but may still be charged the standard rate message charge (based on your service provider rates).

If no confirmation message is received you will not be charged the donation value as you will not be donating to the charity, however, if you have texted either the incorrect keyword or shortcode you may receive a confirmation but may not have donated to Stokenchurch Dog Rescue.

Gift Aid:

If you are a UK taxpayer we can claim an additional 25p in Gift Aid from the government for every £1 you donate and it doesn’t cost you a penny!

To help us claim this please click the Gift Aid link within your confirmation text.

For us to claim Gift Aid, you must pay UK income tax or Capital Gains Tax this year (this does not include VAT or Council Tax) at least equal to the amount reclaimed on your charitable donations.

Your data will be collected by Donr on behalf of Stokenchurch Dog Rescue and will only be used for processing your donation, providing receipts and in order to help analyse Stokenchurch Dog Rescues income. It will not be used for any other purpose. Any additional income provided as part of the Gift Aid declaration will only be used for the purpose of collecting gift aid.

Service Providers:

This text to donate service operates on networks which are supported on the mainland UK i.e. Vodafone, O2, Three, EE and Virgin.

If you travel abroad and text to donate using their UK-registered phone, it should work.

If you live abroad, however, and send texts from a phone registered to a foreign mobile network operator, then the donation will not work.

Donations from a mobile device using one of the major UK mobile networks (Vodafone, O2, EE, Virgin or Three should work, however, some Mobile Virtual Network Operators, such as Asda and PlusNet, do not currently support texts to short code numbers such as Donr’s 70085.

Attempted texts to short code numbers from a mobile device using a network run by a Mobile Virtual Network Operator may well fail and the donation will not be registered.

Please check with your individual network provider if you have a query about their support of short code phone numbers.

Stokenchurch Dog Rescue cannot accept any responsibility whatsoever for any technical failure, malfunction, congestion, capacity issues or any other problem with any telephone, telephone network or line, system, server, provider or otherwise which may result in any text being lost, delayed or not properly received and recorded.
