Alice came to us from the Pound and was an instant hit with the staff. She has a beautiful habit of inching her way onto your lap, paw by paw until suddenly you look down and you have a gorgeous puppy curled up on you. She’ll then request chest rubs and tummy tickles before settling down for a snooze, at which point you will be duty bound to stay in place until she wakes up! Alice offers up unending love and, once you meet her, there is no doubt that this will be instantly reciprocated!
Owner experience – First time owners would be an option for this gorgeous girl.
Personality with people – Alice faces an internal conflict when she meets a new person; half excited, half nervous! Recently she’s been gaining more confidence and the process of saying hi is speeding up and you will no doubt be greeted with some excited jumps and numerous kisses. She loves to curl up on your lap for a nap and seems most comfortable when using your hand as a pillow.
Personality with dogs – Alice met a number of dogs and with each displayed strong communication skills, backing off when her play became too much or adopting a submissive posture for any dogs who were in turn too much for her. As such, she could go to a home with an existing canine cohabitant, so long as a number of dog mixes are successfully carried out prior to this.
Training & Exercise – Alice has little to no training but does tend to return when you call her / offer up enough excitement. On lead she has a habit of stopping, then sprinting to the end of the lead before consequently coming to an abrupt halt again. She will definitely benefit from loose lead training as well as broader training, but, with both food and attention as motivations she should be a joy to work with. She enjoys running around off lead and sometimes it’s hard to tell where the zoomies stop and the play begins!
Home alone time – 1 – 4 hours (build up over time).
Type of home required – Alice will thrive in a calm and quiet home, so whilst she could live with children, they will need to be mature / sensible enough to ensure they are providing a safe and calm space for her. This isn’t to say she isn’t playful, but the majority of the time she’d prefer a relatively peaceful environment to live in.
The adoption fee for Alice is £300.00
