Charlie came to SDR as an unclaimed stray from the local pound that we work closely with.
He has settled in well at SDR and is equally happy in his kennel watching the world pass by or running around the paddock burning off some of the vast quantities of energy he has.
Charlie can be a little nervous when meeting new people and likes to take his time when doing so, his affections can be won over with the help of some tasty treats or a toy that he will enthusiastically play with.
As Charlie came to us as a stray we do not have any previous history about him, but he is a sweet natured boy that loves attention and a cuddle once he knows you.
When out and about Charlie walks well on the lead with very little pulling, he can be a little nervous of passing traffic in particular larger noisier vehicles but once they have gone by he happily goes back to taking in the sight and sounds of the surrounding fauna & flora.
We have dog mixed Charlie with other residents here at SDR and he is a sociable fellow gauging the right amount of play depending on the other dog’s reactions. Charlie could live with another dog who has the same personality and energy that he has.
Charlie is an energetic boy who is looking for an equally energetic family that can spend some quality time with him walking and playing. Charlie could live with children 11 years and over who have had previous experience of living with a dog and are respectful of their space when required.
He will need a good sized secure garden (6ft fence) for him to burn some of his energy off, or be willing to take Charlie to a secure dog exercise field so he can be let off lead to have a good run.
Charlie will require a minimum of two visits from the entire household ahead of the adoption process.
The adoption fee for Charlie is £200
