Introducing the adorable duo, Cookie (a Yorkshire Terrier mix) and Tiny (a Chihuahua). These two found themselves in the care of SDR after their owner sadly passed away. Coming from a peaceful, loving home, adjusting to kennel life has been a significant change for them. They were initially nervous, but having each other has been a great source of comfort. Cookie and Tiny are looking for a home together.

Personality – When meeting new people, both Cookie and Tiny can be initially shy. However, they quickly warm up to others. Cookie usually takes the lead, approaching you directly since she thrives on attention. With a little time, Tiny also becomes braver and may come over as well. However, she prefers to approach on her own; if you go to her, she might shy away or freeze and shake. Once they get to know you, they are the sweetest ladies, well-mannered and calm. They have proven to be fabulous office dogs, so you can expect to see them in the office during your visits.

Exercise/Training – Tiny is the more adventurous of the two dogs. She happily enjoys longer walks but is also content with a couple of shorter walks each day. On the other hand, Cookie would prefer to stay on your lap all day rather than go for walks. Although she needs some exercise and someone to take her out, she is not the right choice if you're looking for a hiking companion. After their walks, both girls love to snooze by your side or curled up on your lap.

Neither dog has had any formal training, so some training would be beneficial. However, they are generally well-mannered and have calm personalities.

Other Animals – Tiny and Cookie have encountered a variety of dogs, and they generally prefer the smaller, calmer ones. Tiny tends to keep her distance at first, but over time, she gradually gains confidence and becomes more social. In contrast, Cookie prefers when other dogs maintain their distance, as she feels uncomfortable with them encroaching on her space and may give a warning growl. However, this is usually the extent of her reaction; as long as they respect her boundaries and leave her alone, she is happy to be off-lead or go for walks with them.

Bigger dogs tend to worry both Tiny and Cookie, and they are more likely to react to them. We are looking for a home where they can stay together, as we believe they are best suited to be a duo rather than living with other dogs. They should be fine with calm, small dogs as walking companions.

Type of home – The girls have come from a very quiet, adult-only home, so we are looking for a similar environment for them. They will thrive in a calm space and are ideal for someone seeking companionship. They can adapt to various living situations as long as their needs are met. If there is access to a garden, it must be enclosed with at least 4 foot fencing.

The adoption fee for Cookie & Tiny is £400.00
