Jo Jo came to SDR as an unclaimed stray. She has settled in well to her new routine here and it’s a pleasure to see her confidence is growing daily.
Personality with people - Since arriving at SDR, Jo Jo has met with various volunteers, and it’s encouraging to see her confidence grow each day. She is a sweet little lady who enjoys making new friends, as it means more cuddles for her. Jojo would be suited to living with children aged 13 and over, as she also enjoys plenty of playtime.
Personality with dogs/cats - Jo Jo recently had the opportunity to meet our resident cat, Clove. Jo Jo was very intense and quite vocal towards Clove, which indicates that she would not be suited to live with cats. During her stay, Jo Jo also encountered other dogs. Overall, she behaved well, but she did show signs of aggression when other dogs invaded her space for too long. Therefore, it is best for Jo Jo to be the only dog in the home. While Jo Jo cannot live with another dog, she can have some canine friends to join her on walks, provided that introductions are carefully supervised and not rushed.
Walking & Exercise - Jo Jo loves her walks and has an abundance of energy. She walks well on a lead with minimal pulling and is not bothered by passing traffic. However, there are a few things to be cautious about while walking Jo Jo: she tends to explore holes in the ground and gaps in hedges or fencing, regardless of whether she is on a lead or not. Jo Jo requires a couple of good walks each day, lasting around an hour each, as well as plenty of time to play off-lead in a secure garden with solid 5 foot fencing.
Family & Home – Jo Jo is seeking a fairly active family who can keep her well-exercised and entertained. Ideally, her new family should have experience owning a dog, although it doesn’t have to be of her specific breed. Jo Jo will need a home with a secure garden where she can play and explore, as she is likely to try to find any gaps in the fencing.
Summary - With Jo Jo, you are getting an energetic and sweet-natured little lady who is ready for many new adventures with her new family.
The adoption fee for Jo Jo is £250.00
