Norman came to SDR as an unclaimed stray (Norman was found tied to a bin with a female Frenchie called Norma). Norman has settled in very well to his new routine here at SDR and is always pleased to see one of the dog carers.
Personality with people – Norman enjoys making new friends, he is overall quite a confident little chap and will usually greet new people like he’s known them for years. Sometimes Normans excitement overflows and he can get a little bouncy and boisterous with the initial greeting. Norman could live with children aged 13 years and over, but they must be aware that due to his breed and his stubby nose he is not going to be able to have lots of playtime as he does get out of breath quite quickly.
Personality with dogs/cats - Since being here at SDR, Norman has met several of the other canine residents off lead in our enclosed meadows. Norman, is not backwards in coming forwards and his energy and eagerness to meet the other dogs can be a little over the top for some of them. With this in mind Norman could live with another dog as long as they are used to having a lively and sometimes pushy canine friend around. Norman has also had the pleasure of meeting our resident cat Clove. Norman could live with a confident cat, as long as they are used to having a lively canine friend sharing their home.
Walking & Exercise – Norman thoroughly enjoys his walks, and this can lead to lots of bouncing around with excitement when trying to fit his harness. Once fitted and ready to go, Norman takes everything in his stride, taking in the fauna & flora around him and showing little or no concern with passing traffic. Norman walks well on the lead with very little pulling. The only downside for Norman is his exercise and walking will need to be strictly limited due to his stubby nose and sometimes difficulty breathing. Half-hour walks twice a day and time off lead in an enclosed garden would suit him well.
Family & Home - Ideally, Normans' new family will have previous experience of French Bulldogs, just so they know all the little foibles that come with this breed. Owning various other breeds is also acceptable, but new owners will need to do their research about the breed. His new family home will require a garden for him to explore and have quality time off lead.
Summary - Norman is a fabulous, friendly little chap that is full of energy. His unique colouring for a Frenchie certainly makes him stand out in the crowd. He has vast quantities of love & happiness to share with his new family.
The adoption fee for Norman is £250.00
