Meet the adorable Pete!
For more information call us on 01494 482695
Pete came to SDR as an unclaimed stray. Since being here his confidence is building daily and he's making new friends with the carers and volunteers.
Personality with people - Pete is a little unsure when meeting new people. He will put his fears to one side and do his best to greet you with a wagging tail. As mentioned his confidence is building daily and the more people he meets the easier it gets for him. He has a fabulous personality which does come shining through when he's happy in your company. Pete Could live with children aged 10 years and over, but they would need to be mindful that he does lack a little confidence sometimes and would new to be calm when around him.
Personality with dogs/cats - Pete has met several of the other canine residents here at SDR. He seems to like every dog he sees, he could live with another dog as long as they are calm as he is not the biggest fan of dogs that are too over the top when playing. Pete has also had the honour of meeting our resident cat Clove and he was well mannered when doing so not paying too much attention to her. With this in mind he could live with a confident cat.
Walking & Exercise - Pete loves his walks, taking in his surroundings and not worrying about busy roads and passing traffic. He walks beautifully on the lead with very little pulling, he just likes to stop a lot to sniff everything. Pete will need a good couple of walks a day around an hour each time, also off lead time in a secure garden to play and explore
Family & Home - Pete's new family would need to be quite energetic as he does like his walks and also time off lead. Pete has a fabulous personality which comes shining through once he is confident in your company and will make a wonderful addition to your family. His new home will require a good size garden for him to explore with a minimum fence height of 5 foot.
Summary - With Pete you are getting a chilled out, lovable lad. He does love the company of people, if a little unsure to start. Once he is happy in your company, you'll have the best furry friend you could wish for.
Pete will require a minimum of 2 visits from everyone in the household.
The adoption fee for the fabulous Pete is £250.00
