Pip arrived with us at SDR due to no fault of her own, her previous owners could no longer give her the care she required. Since arriving with us she settled in very well. She spends her day playing with all her toys and snoozing. She loves when all her dog carers come into play and give her loads of fuss. Pip will need owners with previous dog experience.

At her general health check, it was noted by the vet that she has a damaged trachea, so while out on walks she should only be on a lead and harness and not a slip lead or lead and collar.

She is a very lively, outgoing girl who loves everyone she meets on her adventures, and will always make sure to say hello and get a fuss off them. She can forget her manners and will jump up. Pip is still young and very active so will need to go on 1-2 hour walks a day.  She is very well behaved when on a walk and will walk just a few paces in front of you.

Pip loves to play with her toys, so she will need some off lead time in a fully enclosed garden or paddock with a least a 5 foot fencing where she can burn off her energy and play with her ball. She loves a good game of fetch or she likes to carry one ball in her mouth and kick a second ball around with her feet.  She has never been let off lead in an open area before so recall will need to be worked on before allowing her off lead. She is a bright girl and already knows "sit" but has so much potential to learn more.

Pip loves her food and eats very well. Although she is not on any specific diet she could do with losing a little weight to keep her fit and healthy. She also likes her treats so this will be a good motive for any training and also to build a bond with her new owner.

We have dog mixed Pip with a couple dogs and she can get a bit feisty with some dogs who can be excitable. She is better with calmer dogs and is happy for them to be around however we still think it will be better for Pip to be the only pet in the home but she could have a calm walking canine companion, we still suggest introductions are done slowly.

Overall Pip is a fun, enthusiastic young girl who is looking for an active home where she can enjoy endless cuddles and toys.

The adoption fee for Pip is £200
