Pippin came to SDR through no fault of her own. When she first arrived she was (and still is) a nervous little lady needing plenty of time & encouragement for her true colours to come shining through.

Personality with people - Pippin is a bit nervous when meeting new people for the first time. It's best to let her initiate the greeting, as approaching her too quickly often causes her to back away. Once Pippin feels comfortable in your presence, she becomes incredibly affectionate and loves to cuddle, often trying her best to jump into your arms. Pippin can live with children aged 13 and older, but they need to understand that she is sensitive to loud noises and lively play around her.

Personality with dogs & cats - Pippin has been around several dog mixes during her time at SDR. She tends to feel nervous when approached by dogs, often backing away and avoiding interaction. However, with a little patience, she has learned that not all dogs are intimidating. She could potentially live with a small, very calm dog, around the size of a Jack Russell. Additionally, Pippin has had the opportunity to meet our resident cat, Clove. She could also coexist with a calm cat that is accustomed to having dogs in the home.

Walking/playtime - Pippin gets excited at the prospect of going for a walk. Once she is outside, she walks well on a lead with very little pulling. Pippin shows no concerns about passing traffic and enjoys taking in the flora and fauna around her. Besides her walks, she loves spending time off-lead, running and playing, so having a nice garden or a secure area for her to enjoy is essential.

New family/home - Pippin's new family will need to be understanding of her nervous nature. She will require plenty of time to build her confidence and adjust to her new environment. Additionally, her new family must have a lot of energy, as she loves to exercise, including walking and time off-lead. It is important for her new home to have a garden where she can play and explore, with a minimum fence height of 5 foot.

Pippin is a fantastic and incredibly loving dog once her confidence has grown. She is active and loves to play. If you want a canine companion to take on new adventures, then Pippin is the girl for you.

Pippin will require a minimum of 3 visits from everyone in the household.

The adoption fee for Pippin is £250.00
