Rally, is a sweet and loveable girl who was sadly returned after being adopted out in March 2024 due to her owner’s ill health.
Personality - She has settled back into kennels well and is always pleased to see her carers. Rally is a super friendly and sociable girl and her impeccable manners shine through when meeting anyone new. Once she knows you well you see how much of a goofball she is; excitable, bouncy, talkative and crazy about booty scratches but for the most part keeps all 4 paws on the ground.
Personality with Dogs - Rally hasn’t shown a great deal of interest in other dogs since being returned to us. We know in her original home she was attacked by a smaller dog when she was younger and her original owners muzzled her as a precaution. Rally is used to living by herself and may be better suited to walking buddies until she has settled in and another dog can be introduced in the future.
Exercise - She will need plenty of exercise and most importantly mental stimulation. She is very intelligent and she knows a lot of the basics with a long list of tricks and commands. She is housetrained and crate trained and sometimes too smart for her own good, she can open doors inwards, and outwards, rounded handles letting in the postman a few times in her old home. She would be a really good candidate to get into scent work sports/activities as she loves to use her brain and nose.
Food & Diet - Food is her favourite, anything and everything! She is easily motivated and always up to work for her food. She also likes carrots, chewing plastic bottles, classical music and is a big fan of watching Gordon Ramsay when she can't settle. She likes to play and her favourite toy is a squeaky scooby-doo ball from B&M. She is currently very overweight and on a special diet to help her shed the excess pounds! She has about 10kg to lose, so owners will need to be very strict with her.
Walking - Off-site she walks fairly well but can be strong occasionally so will need fit and able people to hold her. She listens well and doesn't seem bothered by most sights and sounds. Off the lead, she loves to run around the paddock and enjoys the agility equipment. Your voice does fall on deaf ears when calling her but if you have food or squeaky toys she will come back and stay around.
Rally requires a home with someone who is excited to give Rally time and attention; she is an active and intelligent dog who would thrive in fulfilling her drive with activities and adventures. They will need to continue her previous training and work on her reactivity towards dogs and have experience with large breeds. Rally is better suited to older teenagers in the household and cannot live with cats or anything small and furry.
The adoption fee for Rally is £250.00
