Giving dogs a second chance
Meet the gorgeous Ruby. Can you offer this little gem her perfect home?
For more information call us on 01494 482695
Ruby came to SDR with her sister Piper, although they are kennelled together it is best for them to be rehomed separately as Piper can be a little bossy. Ruby has settled in very well here and is always happy to see one of the dog carers.
Personality with people - Ruby is a little more confident than Piper when it comes to making new human friends. She is usually the first to come over for an enthusiastic fuss and cuddle. If you are sitting down then she will no doubt be the first one on your lap for a fuss.
Personality with dogs/cats - Ruby has met several of the other residents here at SDR and she is, on the whole very well-mannered when doing so. She can be a little nervous of over enthusiastic dogs often shying away from them. Ruby could live with another dog as long as they have a calm nature like her. In her previous home Ruby lived with a cat and she has also met our resident cat Clove, Ruby could live with confident cats.
Walking & Exercise - Much the same as her sister, Ruby loves her walks and is also best described as an "enthusiastic rabbit" and trip hazard. She too has the habit of darting in any direction and stopping in front of you. Once she has settled into her walk then she does calm down somewhat, but there is still pulling on the lead. Ruby is not worried by passing traffic taking everything at her own pace. Ruby will require a good couple of walks a day up to 1 hour each, also time off lead in a secure garden for play and exploring.
Family & Home - Rubys new family will need plenty of energy to keep up with this bundle of fun. She has boundless enthusiasm for everything she does and enjoys life to the full. Ruby will require a home with a garden so she can enjoy time off lead playing & exploring. Ruby could live with first time dog owners as she is well mannered.
Summary - Ruby is a bundle of energy and love. She enjoys making new friends and going on adventures.
Ruby will require a minimum of 2 visits from everyone in the household.
The adoption fee for Ruby is £250.00
