Spacey is a wonderful girl that found herself returned to SDR through absolutely no fault of her own. Spacey was incredibly sad and heartbroken when she was returned to rescue, but with the love and TLC from the dog carers, she has settled back into the routine easily. She much prefers it when she has the company and attention of her carers.
Spacey, being a typical Terrier is still a very active girl for her age and loves to be outside investigating and exploring new areas. She will enjoy having a good sized, fully enclosed garden to play in as she will not be able to be off-lead when out on walks. Spacey loves to play with her squeaky toys and will happily bring it back to you, although she takes her time in dropping it. Spacey will benefit from lots of interaction from her owners as she likes to be kept mentally stimulated.
Spacey is not good around other animals, so she must be muzzled at all times when out in public places. Wearing the muzzle does not bother or faze Spacey in the slightest. Spacey loves her walks and also loves to run, but due to her dislike for other animals, it would be advisable to have her attached to a long line in open spaces or hire out an enclosed field for her to exercise off lead in.
Spacey will make a great addition to a quiet household with owners who are experienced with Terriers. Spacey can be left for a few hours at a time, but this should be built up gradually whilst she is settling into her new home so as to not upset her.
In a home with no other animals, Spacey will bring joy and happiness into your home and hearts. She is a very affectionate girl who just adores people.
