Meeting people - Toto is a friendly chap and loves making new friends, he can be a little over excited when doing so and this will inevitably end with him jumping up at you for attention.

Travel - Toto is not used to travelling and he can be quite vocal and unsettled when doing so. His previous owners have found that having Toto crated for travel with a blanket covering it helped him settle.

Training - Toto is going to need lots of training as at present he shows very little knowledge of basic commands. Toto will need to be enrolled in classes with other dogs, even though Toto could have some canine walking friends he does not know how to conduct himself properly around them. He is very vocal when seeing other dogs and this can come across as aggressive, but with Toto this is more frustration that he cannot run up to the other dog.

Other animals - We have dog mixed Toto with other residents here at SDR, although Toto is friendly with them he is very intense and quite relentless with his meeting and play. Toto could have canine friends to walk with, again this would need to be a structured meeting and built up gradually. We have cat tested Toto with the resident cats here at SDR and he could definitely not live with cats.

Walking & Exercise - Toto will need training as his loose lead walking is non existent. He is not the biggest fan of having a harness fitted and will do his upmost to ensure he makes it as difficult as he can for you. When out and about Toto is not happy with passing traffic and will lunge and bark at passing vehicles. When quiet he will happily sniff and explore his surroundings. Toto is going to need a good couple of walks a day ideally somewhere quiet so he can enjoy them without being worried by passing cars etc. Besides walks Toto is going to benefit from having plenty of playtime and stimulation.

Food & Treats - Toto eats well and does not have any specific  dietary requirements, just a well balanced diet to keep him fit and healthy. Toto does like his treats but may not eat them when handed to him.

Living with children - Toto could live with children 11 years and over as long as they are happy to live with a dog that has high energy levels and needs lots of entertaining and stimulation.

Type of home - Toto is looking for a family that can help him with his future training needs and are all very willing to do this. His new family will need to be active and enjoy training and entertaining this little bundle of fun. Toto's new home will require a good sized garden for him to have a run and play to burn off some of the vast quantities of energy that he has. Despite being small of stature he will require fencing that is a minimum of 5 foot and solid as he does a have an exceedingly good jump on him.
