HAPPY NEW YEAR

As we prepare to say goodbye to 2025, we remember a year that has been full of activity and highs & lows for us here at SDR.

A year when we lost 3 very special dogs – Nealy and Patch, who were both long term residents here and little Malcolm who was on foster.  We thank everyone for the support we received and send a huge thank you to Malcolm’s foster family.  These dogs will never be forgotten & have a place in our hearts.

2025 was a year where we saw strays arriving with us in very poor condition – Gemini came in with multiple wounds & infections, Ocean & Knight both came in very underweight and Hope arrived with us pregnant and later gave birth to “Baby Brian.  These dogs require extra care & attention to build up both their bodies & their trust in humans, but we are pleased that they are now all healthy.

A year when we found new homes for 100 dogs - whilst we are always happy when we find our dogs a home, there have been some incredibly special ones this year. Dogs that had been with us for many months & dogs that needed a particularly experienced & committed home.

To mention a few – Dotty, Ralph, Joules, Peach & Luna.

A huge Thank You to everyone that helps & supports us during the year - we really couldn't do what we do without you.
