The moment you have all been waiting for......£9841, so close to £10,000!! This is a record.
We had such a great day at our Spring Fair on 17th May, there were so many people, so many dogs and lots of fun things to do. We are really grateful to you all for coming and of course spending your money, this all helps to keep us running and caring for our wonderful dogs.
We had special guests, Glenn Hoddle, Cameron Jack and of course baby Brian (now Kobe), along with many ex SDR dogs. It was so good to see so many happy dogs. Our dog show was very well attended with Thomas winning Best in Show and our very own Dudley coming in as Reserve Best in Show.
The live auction hosted by Cameron Jack was a fabulous success and created a lot of laughter. The Blen Choir and our Claire Cassell with her band It's a Swing Thing, made the day with fabulous music.
A big thank you to Stokenchurch Medical Centre and Ben Atkinson for providing an extra car park and coning the roads for us, Christie's Catering who give us all the profit from the pizzas, making a whopping £680 and providing an auction lot too, Emily Cooper and Lady Baldwin of Bewdley for judging the dog show, Little Kingshill Combned School for providing the prizes and of course, the 3rd High Wycombe-Downbley Scout Group for putting on the games. An enormous thank you to Douglas Barr for setting everything up, and all the staff and volunteers that have helped in the lead up and on the day, all the stall holders that had a pitch along with anyone that donated items towards the day. Apologies if we have forgotten anyone.
For those that are wondering, this total is all profit, we are a small charity and aim to spend as little as possible on these events. Our total spend for this year was a meagre £400. So we did actually take over £10,000!
See you this time next year.
