Loki is an energetic, young boy who will be suitable for owners who have experience with large breed dogs.

Loki is a very sweet and loving boy who loves to get a fuss from anyone who will give it. He has become accustomed to the daily routines and enjoys spending time playing with his carers and getting lots of cuddles. Loki is a true class clown and lives for his toys! He will happily keep himself entertained by throwing his toys around and bounces around his kennel quite happily. Once he has his toy he can be a little reluctant to give it up, however he will be more than happy to trade you for either another toy or a tasty treat.

Loki loves to spend time outside and enjoys his walks with his handlers. He has been introduced to a halti as he doesn't quite understand his size and strength and prefers to take his carers for a bit of a joy ride! New owners will need to work on his lead walking skills, but it wont be long until he is walking happily by your side, as he has already started to show some nice steps on a loose lead.

At present, he is a little underweight so is currently on 3 meals a day. He is very food orientated and is happy to eat all his food in one sitting. Loki can become very impatient when you have something he wants, whether it be a treat or a toy and he likes to jump up to try and take it from you.

New owners will need to do lots of training with impulse control to help him with his manners. He will also need some training when giving him treats, as he loves his food so much he tends to snatch it from your hands and can manage to get your fingers in the process. Due to his high energy levels, Loki may enjoy doing activities such as agility or hoopers and as he is very food orientated, he may also excell in scent work training.

Since he has been with us he has been mixed with both male and female dogs. Loki has shown that he is a little uncomfortable when made to interact with another dog and prefers to have his own space. He has shown to become a little defesive when another dog is sniffing him and does not want them interacting with him. Even though he does not want the other dog in his space, he is perfectly happy to have them in and around the area as long as he is not forced to interact. Due to his insecurities around other dogs, Loki is looking to be the only dog in the home.

In the right home with experienced and active owners, Loki will make a truly wonderful, loving and playful companion who will bring lots of love and laughs to any home!

Can you offer this lovely boy a loving and permanent new home?
