We are looking for someone who will enjoy using their experience, creativity, and initiative to support our rewarding work helping unwanted and vulnerable dogs find safe and loving homes.

In return, we offer the opportunity to become part of a friendly, passionate, and dedicated team that truly cares about animal welfare and the difference we make every day.

As a smaller charity, this is a varied and hands-on role with real responsibility and the opportunity to shape fundraising activity across digital campaigns, events, supporter engagement, and community partnerships.

The successful candidate will help drive both online and in-person fundraising activity, maintain and grow supporter relationships, develop new partnerships, and increase awareness of SDR within the local community and beyond. We are looking for someone who is resourceful, organised, and capable of delivering cost-effective fundraising growth.

So, what does success look like?  Within the first 6–12 months, success in this role would include

  • Increased fundraising income across digital campaigns, events, and community activity
  • Growth in supporter engagement and donor retention and increase significantly regular giving
  • Improved visibility and awareness of SDR online
  • More consistent, compelling, and engaging social media communications, linked to financial returns
  • Successful delivery of fundraising events and campaigns
  • Bringing fresh ideas, energy, and structure to SDR’s fundraising approach

To apply, please contact Robyn Burnett at recruitment@stokenchurchdogrescue.org.uk.

When applying, we would welcome candidates to share any ideas or suggestions on how they would bring fresh thinking and new energy to SDR’s fundraising and events activity.

Please note that SDR is unable to contribute towards relocation costs if relocation is required.
